A few weeks ago I shared a recipe for a drink called Amazake, which is a Japanese fermented beauty drink. It is naturally sweet, delicious, and healthy! Plus you can add various ingredients to it to make different flavours, like this Amazake Lemonade! This one has added lemon to it to give it a yummy citrus flavour. It is so refreshing on a hot day but can also be served warm and drunk on a cold day!
As I mentioned in the previous Amazake post, this drink has Vitamin B1, B2, B6, Folic acid, Dietary fibre, Oligosaccharide, Cysteine, Arginine, Glutamine, and Glucose, which provide various healthy benefits, such as activating skin cell turnover to reduce the signs of ageing. This Lemonade variation also has added lemon which makes it even healthier because it has vitamin C and other nutrients, which have a lot health benefits like strengthening your immune system and treatment for indigestion and fever.
This Amazake Lemonade is made from white rice but you could use brown rice instead to make it even healthier, but you will need to add more water to the recipe. This drink is a perfect healthy snack and tastes so delicious! I hope you enjoy the recipe and stay tuned for more Amazake drink flavours!
